Ancelotti, ambitious in his return to the Santiago Bernabeu

The Italian manager returns this Tuesday to the Santiago Bernabeu (20:45 CEST) seeking the qualification for the semi-finals of the Champions League. It won’t be an easy task and as Carlo has recognised in press conference before the tie, Bayern must focus and take advantage of it virtues. “I think we played a decent 60 minutes in the first leg, we controlled it. We must be capable to do it during 90 minutes and without major mistakes. To win here we have to play the perfect game, with bravery, intensity and using our quality”, admitted.

To reach the semi-finals, the Bavarians has to make an impeccable game, no mistakes allow. And having some players injured back in the squad will be a great help: “Lewandoski is fine, he gives us confidence but we won´t change the strategy. Mats Hummels and Boateng are likely to play”.

Carlo will return to what it was his home for two years, the Santiago Bernabeu. He achieved his third CL as a manager with Real Madrid, that´s why it will be a special game for the Italian. “I don´t know what the welcome will be. As I said many times, I have great memories from those two years. They have been unforgettable and that´s what it counts”, said Carlo.
